yea id have to agree with subachad on getting an intercooler....it doesnt have to be that big or even new, you could try and find an intercooler for a stock turbo car.Originally Posted by chrishasboost

starion/conquest intercoolers are popular among lots of different cars
remove battery, go side mount... don't be a foolio.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.

because it doesn't bust open and leak when you slam your lip into the ground after that HEUG jump you just went over
As from a non rally standpoint... I think it's more practical for a street car for the same reasons. If I catch my lip on a curb or the ground (lowered) I don't want to have to worry about a boost leak. More importantly, I don't want to have to worry about all those nasty little bits getting into the intake if it does bust open.
Though I haven't really looked to see if there is room in the engine compartment for a side mount and piping.
As for a road and drag racing car it probably doesn't make too much sense. A front mounted intercooler is probably much better at cooling the intake air. There's also a lesser (none) chance of a HEUG JUMP (drag racing totally needs a jump at the end... kind of like a slip and slide) or an impact that wouldn't end your race anyways.

i haven't gotten that far yet,but we'll see.
