Howsit, is the d16/d20 the same as the f16/f20?

over here in SA we have alot more boxes available as opel is common here.

I had an opel with a F13 gearbox and the ratios where so short it worked well as a robot to robot race or on the drag strip.

we then have F13, F15, F16, F17, F18 and F20. the f16,18 & 20 come in different ratio boxes from short to long. there is also a F28 6speed and a f20 with a factory limited slip diff.

there are a few more that should fit provided the d16 is the same as the f16.
      Current:
      2000 Opel Corsa GSi
      Ex:
      1995 Opel Kadett 200t S - R.I.P
      1997 Opel Corsa 130iE - Sold
      1989 Opel Kadett 160 GSE - Sold

If I recall correctly, the only major difference with those boxes is that the D16 has a hydraulic clutch and the other ones are cable. The f28 is an awd transmission and needs a fwd conversion to make it work.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

you are correct about hydraulic cluth but we have the F series boxes with the hydraulic clutches also but i think that is only in the F18 on the later model ople corsa's.

in SA we had a FWD F28 only on a SA only model opel called the kadett/astra 200tS with a 6 speed 2.0l 16v turbo engine producing 160kw in 1994 and 150kw in 1995.

well if you could find one of the boxes i mentioned then they are all a straight fit. majority of the different boxes have a short ratio, wide ratio and long ratio available.
