clutch

2007 aveo 5. when I engage the clutch there is a high pitch screeching sound. Noise stops when I disengage it. Runs and shifts fine. Could it be the throwout bearing in the clutch?

It does this while engine is ON only?
It makes noise while keeping it (clutch) depressed with engine on?

If both yes, seems like clutch bearing. or something else loose touching spinning parts.
If its the bearing,, it could crack up to pieces any time and car wouldnt be operable (can´t shift).
