Is replacing the coil pack NEEDED, if there is no problem with it at all. I am considering replacing the spark plug wires, just because of the age, 13yrs, ....they look new, no cracks, no spark or electrical issues. Just age, trying to prevent problems.

I have replaced the plugs 3 times over the years, just to try new plug designs, and its cheap to do as maintenance. So now that I am going to do the spark plug wires, should I replace the coil pack?

Or is it not needed, unless there is some kind of electrical issue I am trying to solve? Anyone? And is there a certain way to do it, besides disconnecting the battery?
