You mean a remote start?
Then yes, I have a remote start on my car, but it's an automatic. I'm not entirely sure if they work for manuals just because of the possibility of coming out of gear on startup or something (I remember the guy telling me something of caution but that was like 2 years ago, so I can't remember).
But man does it make a difference! I live in AZ and it gets hot, obviously, so letting it cool down for like 3 mins gets it nice pretty quick.
"If I parked a T-72 tank in my back yard, aimed the cannon towards Mexico, and muttered something
about protecting my village from an invasion, the police would show up and probably haul me away."

The search function is your friend.......
I am using Page Guard 8000. Comes with remote start function, shock and noise sensor, valet mode, turn on aircon remotely, ...etc.

Yes, a remote start sorry. I'm bidding on a compustar 2 way. Do any of you folks have pictures of your install?, I'm looking into how to do the clutch bypass relay and well... how to properly install one. Years ago I worked for a couple of car audio shops and sold these to many people, problem is that I never payed enough attention as to how they are installed. I also have to purchace a transponder bypass, I hope they are better in quality than the ones we used to install, if you bumped the steering collum enough or just in the right spot teh "ring" would move and the car wouldn't start...
The other thing is I have a $100.00 burning a hole in my pocket and I'm hopeing to install a remote start with this $100.00 or find somethig else woth while to purchase, preferably something geared towards winter driving. ( I already have new winter grips and steelies and a car warmer)...

i dont think it is easily doable in a manual, unless you know how to depress the clutch to start it and not have it coast away i know the E brake but pushing in the clutch to start it, if bypassed means it will lurch forward when it cranks because it is in gear

No, it means the clutch does not need to be depressed to start it, in order to start the car it has to be in "ready mode", before you leave the car you press a button on the transmitter, pull up the E-brake, take the keys out of the ignition (car stays running), and exit the car closeing the door behind you then the car shuts off and is ready for you to start it at a later time. this is an everyday thing for alot of people in our Province/Country with manual transmissions. The remote starter also HAS to be for a manual trans ONLY!.
And it is easy when a person has the proper parts and instructions.

It is easy, and obviously you understand the procedure. Whe I installed mine I used a relay, since the output of the unit was 500 mA, but was told later that I could have just hooked that output direct. Check out http://www.the12volt.com they have great information there, and the forum members are awesome, they can answer any questions you may have and there are many diagrams available.
Thanks. I'll be buying one of these also. http://ifar.ca/en/products/flashlink_se ... rride-all/
