lol have you tried one? it has a full refund with shiping if i dont like it... but last time a seller said that and i returned it they sent it back and said i broke it lol. but this one has a lifetime warranty so if i did break it they should still cover it... but most people dont know how to check to see if they gained hp... i dont have a dyno or know of one that will do it for free or cheap so i guess ill just save my 10 bucks ha. but i thought it was funny that alot of people has left positive feed back on this item.

That does the exact same thing as an IAT relocation. Also is like a super poor mans CAI... basically does nothing on our cars. It tricks the engine into thinking the air is colder. Colder air is more dense. So it adds fuel. And can cause the engine to run rich... not something you want. Do a proper cold air intake and see real improvements (although very little with our cars)

when should i take it apart and clean it? im at 115k miles

mralx, no, I have not tried one. I have had a vehicle tuned before, and it was never under $250-300 for a good chip/tune. And on my aveo when I had one I had a CAI (with an AEM bypass valve) and a catless header and I did feel noticeable gains in my top end, although getting tuned for them would definitely unlock more gains.
As far as the eBay chip online - it's very risky. IIRC, you could get your computer (ECU) fried. But if you're willing (with lifetime warranty on it and why don't buy the chip ($10), run a baseline dyno (around $60-100), then install the chip, and run another dyno to see the gains and report back on here what you've gained. That would be actually a useful post.
Thanks ahead and looking forward to seeing what gains you will get from a $10 mod.

And to date, I don't believe anyone had their first gen aveo tuned if that helps you with your search.

It appears from your avatar picture you have a sedan. Those are hatchback tail lights. Same ones I had on mine.
