I didnt know where to post this so i thought i will just put it in this section of the forums.... so the other day i had a crazy and funny thought...... making the aveo a FR LOLLL although it would be much work and money considering you hav to reposition the engine and ect ect but :lol: think about it. i would think a RWD aveo would be a fun little car wouldnt it? light weight and small... perfect drifter haha just a fun idea guys.
wthrow on a turbo and your set with that, the RWD system will add weight but that would be cool
Ive thought about that before. Itd def be pretty sweet
Or just move the engine to the back like they do in some honduhs

for the two engine, you can buy a two aveos off craigslist for @ 6000-7000 that would be all the parts you need aside from the shift linkage for the rear transmission.
fabrication, can be done on many levels, but with the cheapest methods, doing it yourself you have all the parts except the shift linkage from the donor.
to pay someone to do it? i know a few vw shops have done similar, but never for a customer, but figure 100 hours.. at whatever rate. (body shops since its all welding are $40 an hour local) so $4000 in fabrication work..
the linkage would be a cable adaption kit i read about for a vauxhall, i think it was like $300, youll need 2. plus different length cable to run to the rear engine, so figure @ $700..
Thats potentially $11k for an awd 200hp aveo. not bad.
lol talkin about just making it RWD haha but 11K ur right that, "not bad". would be around 23k in total with the purchase of the car... for a AWD, a pretty good deal.
