Unhappy crescent shaped dents in pistons, OK to reuse?

I had my timing belt idler pulley fail last week . I've got the head off to replace the bent valves. Each piston has 4 shallow crescent shaped dents , that appear to be where the valves contacted them. Using a magnifying glass, I can't see any cracks (in piston tops). Has anyone successfully re-used pistons in this condition?. Bad time of the year to be stuck without a car. Thanks in advance for any insights you can offer.

are they really dents, or are they the relief cuts? it there are no cracks you could try to level off any high spots (dont want anything higher than the original surface for it might cause interference) and run it. I just did 13 valves and 4 guides in my daewoo. Thats what i get for allowing my students to do the timing belt though.

Thanks P.R Maybe they are relief cuts. I've never seen an Aveo/Wave piston to compare mine to.
