Anyone wish they had a cvt model to try out? It would be cool to try one. Wonder what the mpg would be like compared to the auto?

Not from the feedback that I've heard from some people I've talked to (they had a chance to drive around in a Versa with CVT for a while)... Plus I like my manual....
2006 Chevrolet Aveo a.k.a. Holden Barina – SOLD
2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS/TC - SOLD
I'm with Sergey: manual is more fun.
PLUS, I bet a motivated driver can probably beat a CVT's MPG, all else being equal. But for the average driver, CVT is going to be better (mpg) than a conventional slushbox.
My sister has a Camry hybrid - that's my experience driving a CVT.
A lot of people don't like them because they're not used to the way engine speed & road speed aren't closely linked, like they are in conventional transmissions, and because there are no "steps" in RPM as speed changes. I don't mind it though.
i dont think i would ever want a CVT tranny, more worthless than an auto
But don't CVTs reach peak torque right away? And hold it all the way thru?
That was what I was getting at..
