Do you think the route of the piping on the header will make a difference?
The D16 and the DVE header have different pipe routing...
I got an email, he thanked me for my patience and is sending me another header and told me to ship back the other if i ever receive it.

i dunno, the only difference in the pipe routing in the little curve the dve makes at the bottom and the d16 one is just straightOriginally Posted by xstevex

well at least things seem to be working out
Ok kidz so I installed a D16 header on my 04 aveo this weekend and it works great, but it is a pain in the A!! to install. Lots of modding to the flange that connects to the head we also had to custom make our own gasket! You have to do a lot more than just drill out the bolt holes and make them a little bigger. You can pretty much drill out the middle ones on top and bottom and it will work but the end ones need some serious moddification basically you need to cut part of them off and make a couple adapter that will hold the ends on good or it will leak. The down pipe needs to be shortend by about six inches and the secondary o2 sencer needs to have a new spot made since the spot on the existing down pipe is directly under the oil pan. You will need some cutting tools to do this and i'm not sure if a shop will do it. If they do it is gonna cost a pretty penny. I will post pics here in the next day or so and show you all what i'm talking about. But it does work and if you are willing to put in the time and mod the hell out of that flange it will work...Port maching is fun. The project took about 7 hours on saturday and 3 on sunday to get everything done right and welded. PM me with questions.
