I just returned from talking with the mechanic who changed my timing belt. He said that it is "normal" for some crankshaft pulleys to be wider than the timing belt and that the belt would not come off. I hope he is right.

Now, I have a more urgent problem. My car won't start. All I did was replace the valve cover gasket but somehow I must have unknowingly changed something else also. I will search thru the forum for advice and/or start a new thread. Thanks for being there.
