Same engine but different intake.
I found this out the hard way, tried to put an '06 engine in an '04.
Once has drive by wire, one does not.

So the 04 is drive by wire ? did it have some OPEL sourced bits by any chance ?-- just interested , we got about 4 years of Euro Opel Corsa's rebadged as Holden Barinas which is of course the Aveo and changed to the GM Daewooooooo---'s in 04 , we have had the Barina / Aveo from one manufacturer or another since 1985 , unfortunately the varietys from each manufacturer have been dissimilar in nearly all instances and whilst looking very similar-model to model very little if anything parts/tuningwise translates.

04-05 is cable, 06+ is drive by wire.
