      drainning a 5spd tranny

      Do I drain the trans from the diff cover or is there an other cover that I drain from?

      You need to take the cover off, thats how i drained mine, never saw a drain plug

      You have to unbolt the tranny from the motor and tip it over. Problem solved, let it drain on the floor and put it back in. Use cardboard if you dont like a mess.

      I'd be better off than you, I would only have to drain 2L from the motor insted of the 4 you had to

      Couldn't I just get 3 friends to help me flip the car? Than we can aim for a drain pan, no mess that way. I'd also get my lost change back.

      You dont need to unbolt the tranny... Just the plate under it

      from what i an figure out on the automatic, he seemed to undo one bolt and drained it out
