      Question dreaded misfire

hi all my 2009 1.4 aveo has produced a misfire and i cant get my head around what it is , im hoping someone can help out and resolve this problem, i have changed the coil pack and plugs , injectors and done a compression test all come out fine ,and ive checked for air leaks . it doesnt misfire on one cylinder its misfiring on all 4 the same time if i spray a bit of easy start into the air intake then the engine stops misfiring and runs normal until it burns off . im wondering if theres enough pressure in the fuel pump or or maybe a fuel blockage ??? any help would be appreciated thanks

no didnt think the throttle body would make it miss, would you know if the fuel pressure sensor is on the pump as there isnt one on the fuel rail thanks

Do you have a maf (not sure of what specs your car is).

I suggest cleaning the maf especially if you sprayed starting fluid in it.

car is now fixed removed the fuel pump and the bottom of the pump was partially blocked with rust ,the tank is rusting inside . couldnt believe that this would cause a misfire , just cleaned pump blew out the fuel rail and pipework changed fuel filter and car is running perfect hope this helps others with same fault

I didnt think the 09 would rust so quickly, or that it had a metal tank?

Weird that you would have rust already, although I did notice a bit of sediment / rust around my water pump and in my coolant. I also had a misfire and found that it was caused by whoever changed the timing belt last. One of the cams was off a tooth! I just fixed it this weekend and it idles butter smooth now.
