I be more than happy to share any information that you might need, just one thing in the ecu side. You will need to convert the hardness to stand alone and program out all of the VATS and BCM parameters out of the OEM ECU.
Yeah that's what I was going for with the ecu, I had to do the same with my Silverado when I swap out the 350 for the ls1. The knockles/spindles did u get them from a cobalt ss or can I just use a regular cobalts spindles and replace the wheel bearing for the ss?
I picked up the spindles on ebay, you can use a regular cobalt spindle if I remember correctly. I pinked up the cobalt ones on ebay with the hub bearing. It was checker to get them with the bearing installed, I was also able to pick up a pair of new brembo brake calipers from gmpartsdirect.com, the were $180.00 each. A very good price on those when I go them, I will dig up the part number for you and get it out to you.

I am very interested on the parts numbers for brembo calipers please post them if you still have them. So how or what did you have to do to the lower control arm to have the cobalt ball joint fit the aveo?

The part number for the Brembo caliper is 25900763 and 25900764, they have gone up in price since I last purchased them. They are now listed for about $224.00 on gmpartsdirect.com. As for the lower control are I ended up cutting out the pocket that the old ball joint would normally slip into. I then welded a flat pease metal and I then re-drilled for the new pattern of the cobalt ball-joint. This took some precise measuring, not done correctly will cause the car not to track correctly.

Welcome to the forum, Suprasalas1!
Are you going to post a build thread? It'd be excellent to see another swap done.
Thank you MetroMPG
Sure will, just need to gather more info and money just the engine and transmission ran me $2300. I am trying to save up to purchase a clutch kit, timing chain, ball joints and spindles so it will be a little while before i start on my project. but still I was thinking of making a thread on turbocharging the aveo since I've turbocharged mine a year ago and haven't come cross a diy turbo forum, it looks like a lot of people can benefit on how i did it.
