In live in Long Island, wright now I have been stuck waiting for parts, because of the storm the parts were lost by Fedx. I have put in a claim and have to wait for the parts to come in. The parts are the Brembo calipers and rotors that are used on the Cobalt SS. I upgrade to 17 inch rims and have test fitted with on caliper that I had previously ordered and they fit. For now I will be working on getting shifter in and the cooling system.
Well whale I am waiting for part to come in I decided to get some stuff done this long weekend. I installed the shifter and shift cables as you can see in the pic below. The setup worked very well and when it is all done it will look factory, this shifter came from a 2005 chevy cobalt.
I was also able to install the power steering pump, the pump came out of a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire and as you can see it bolted wright up.

The last thing I got done was to hookup the fuel line, I used fuel line adapters that convert over to AN -6 fittings.
WOW!!!!! Grate job!!! I was also thinking of doing this but with more HP.
ZZP Preformance haves alot of cobolt stuffe. I was thinking of getting my motor/trans there.
I'm in LI too so we can compare the diffrence with a stock 09 at the races I go to every weekend lol
i have an 08 pontiac wave and i found out that you have to cut the fire wall to put in the turbo verson of the motor that your puting in i must say good work and im looken at doing somthing along the same lines
I want. I hope someday to be able to do this mod. It looks great, and I hope the performance is well worth the effort you are putting into it. Please continue the build thread, It's a great reference for anyone looking to do some heavy modding to their aveo.
Great work.

I will think of a better signature later.
Thank you everyone for the good feedback, I decided to revisit the shifter. The shift that I put in was from a 2005 and it really was crap it was all plastic and it did not work very well. I put in a newer shifter from an 2009 and it is a much better design and was able to go through all of the gears including reverse. I also made an adapter plate so I could use the factory mounting bolts and not have to drill new holes and do a hack job.
This thread belongs in the great pile of awesome, which is awesome cuz its great.
Anyway, I wish I had the money and know how to do this, hopefully will get there in a few years. Great work though!
