I highly doubt you'll see gains of 20hp from a tune job on a stock engine. 5hp is more likely. However, if you've done modifications to your engine (header, intake, cams, etc) you'll see much larger gains.

Some tuners says that, but anyhere that power increments not breaking a stock piece...
whitn foreced induction not do it too, and is more power...
I only thing in the original clutch slip, but is a very little posibility...

Yo!!! I just emailed trifecta a few days ago asking if there was a tune for the 2008 Aveo (1.6L 5 spd. Manual) but have not heard back from them. I am interested... I run my own business, and could make a trip to the Trifecta area a multi-purpose trip; promoting and tuning. How long would the car be needed for? And isn't Trifecta in Portland or Seattle? Just curious... if it was a 1-3 day thing, and the cost of doing it wasn't prohibitive, I may consider volunteering to help develop a tune... I see the supported vehicle list includes Cruze 1.4 and 2.0L, but I didn't see a tune for a 1.6L... anybody interested and/or got any information?
I think your cost are only the travel, but check this information, and they're interested in tune for 1.6 ECOtec Family, not from ETEC-II, which engine have your car?...

I am about 1.5 hours south of Seattle. E-mailed them, but never heard back. I too have a 2008. So I presumed no interest.
I just received an email from Vince at Trifecta... It basically says they unfortunately do not and will not have tuning for 2008 and older Aveos, due to the lack of a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, which limits tuning potential. The good news though, & I got info to back this up: I heard on this forum that Aveos are basically turbo ready (I assume 2008 and older); in the DIY supercharger plan from the guys at GA Projects in Australia, it states that cars with a MAF sensor are difficult to add boost to; 'coz the supercharger has to be downstream of the sensor to avoid throwing engine codes... It also says that cars with just a Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor are actually ideal for the project (See my DIY supercharger thread for more info-also, I'll be testing some tuning software connected via laptop/USB/OBD-II soon... Keep ya'll posted! ; )
this is the update for triffecta, have a forum...
