Ecu tune Trifecta, Aveo XLT or XLV2009 - 2011...

the interchange of the ecu for the cruze 1.8 and the aveo 1.6 (both ecotecs) is the same part number.. which leads me to believe you can run either engine with the same software. Not 100% sure about trusting interchange numbers, but if that is the case, the cruze 1.8 program will work the for the aveo.

Would using the 1.8 ecu from the cruze be better then getting our ecu tuned? And if using the ecu from the 1.8 could that be tuned as well to achieve event better results?!?

Those are solid results. Accounting for a 12% drive train loss (assuming its a manual) that's like 123tq and 129hp

There is a shop in my area that can tune my ECU. They charge $250 for it, is this a good price?

if it is a real retune with dyno results. YES.

IF it is to install a proven real tune from a company, yes.

If you have no idea of what they will do for $250, no.

So I spoke with the magic man, Vince from Trifecta who tuned my car, and he informed me that swapping the ecm's from a 1.8 cruze is pointless, as they are identical, and they can both be tuned to your liking either way. Hope this helps some users!

Looks like im the market for a cruze ECU! Since the aveos ECU are nonexistant on ebay and whatnot, and I would like to be able to revert to stock easily

EDIT: wow i guess i havent been on ebay in awhile. theres tons on there
