If your gonna ditch 10k in the aveo for performance mods, just buy a new car like a gti or something, totally worthless imo

so, do you have 10K sitting in your pocket now? or is this all talk... again?

If this actually happens you'd definatly make magazines.... then hopefully the aveo will get some parts.

if your up so 12 or 13 you should lessen the body weight, a smaller tank would do.. a lightend chassis, maybe a plexi glass body or carbon fiber, a great engine and i think, its MORE on the engine... coz here, in the philippines we run on a quarter mile and here we build eg6 honda hatchback with a powerfull b18c engine and have lots to do whit it and still is only gets to 12 and 13...

      see this in you youtube:
      http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... +autoworks
      watch it and youll see...ü

      philippine's pride... enjoy!!!ü

why would i buy a GTI for 20k and only run 15's??

If i buy a car im going to buy a coblat ss 2.4L and swap a turbo right onto it.

Ill be into the mid 13's right away and after exhaust and all and a retune for a lil more boost ill be in 12's.

Its still all up in the air of what im going to do.

This whole aveo thing popped pretty much out of no where and it is making me kind of re think what to do.

It really all depends on what kind of money situation i am in next month....if i have some extra cash ill probably go with the aveo route....if not i will probably take the 2.4 L Turbo route and have it all on an auto loan.

But like i said we will see.

And if i do go the aveo route im going to look for GM sponsors and some other sponsors as well to help with cost becuase i will have it put in magazines and into many west coast car shows.

im guessing around 250 to the wheels???

I am obviously going to swap engines.

But here are the questions i have...

Should i boost or build all engine?
and what engine will work best.

I also do not know what all else will need to be upgraded.

      Tranny...axels???

Im looking around the 10k or so price range when all said and done so if that influences what you think is best.

      So pleasssssse help me. lol
i wanna start to do some serious work on this since winter is coming up and i wont be driving as much and ill have some extra time to work on my car.

      Thanks Guys.
tranny, axels, frame, clutch, PP, body - the aveo holds in too much heat for a high boost application you need big openings in the bumper or a hood scoop atleast i think that guys jerking you around with a car as slow out of the box as ours your looking probably 6000 - 7000 a second if it is even possible to get that much HP out of that engine theres no chance its goona be reliable and probably not street legal dont get me wrong i love the idea but for that price im skeptical
You have done no research then.....there are forged internals you can buy from erupoe and the tranny and all that is the hardest part to do.....its very possible to get 250whp out of this engine....there are a lot of boosted 1.5L honda engines running close to the same HP some even have more.
keyword there being HONDA not crappy daewoo paper weight and if YOU did any research youd know that the euro models use a different engine

Long story short, ship it to Arizona, get it back a couple months later, run 10's.

12's all motor on a Civic isn't that hard. I don't care if it's the "fastest in the phillipines" thats like saying your the best skateboarder living in the north pole.

Good luck on your project. Youll be paving the way for the rest of us here in the states.

And as far as boosting or NA it all depends what your project goals are. Track, autox, strip, show, etc. You will have to pretty much beef up everything on the engine(stock) or drop in another engine and make a hybrid. Im guessing that alot of stuff will have to be fabricated unless you can get the parts shipped. Do alot of research and see what is interchangabale. Trial and error is always the best way to figure out stuff if your stuck. Its the only way to learn as well. Give us more details as far as what your trying to accomplish so we can give you our opinions and experiance. Have fun
