Dude if you are going to drill it out take one that you got out and get a drill that is just under the size of the shaft not the threds you need to take the first bolt and see what size it is and take the size of the threds and do the math i have a book that has the math for that i will seed if i can look it up. once you drill it out (Be very carful doing this) you then need to get the threds out you can do this by taking an under size screw to do this then you need to run a tap in there to clean up the threds. you know what you should get some one that has done this before this is not a DIY job if you have never done this before. i have done it but i did it like 2 times and i know to take my time and do each step one at a time. try this web site it may or may not help you. http://www.brokentap.com/easy-outs.html

ok, let's back up a little....why are you taking the cover off? unless you HAVE to change the plugs or wires...I say cut your loses now and just stop.

If you are doing all this to paint it...you lost...wait till you HAVE to get the cover off.

An Arm and A Leg......... try to find a Friend who can help you before taking it to a shop i still can't belive that the Craftmen Strip out didn't work i read everything about it did you go Slow or did you hook it up on a power drill with no slow setting? it says to use it slowly or it just strips it out more. just asking.

more then the can of paint, 4 plugs, and wires you plan on installing unless you know someone there.

It's a snap man...but seriously, if the craftsman things didn't work..maybe you should have someone else do it for you?

oh i know how to replace all that stuff....i just think its a stupid set up on the engine cover.

i did hook it up to a power drill with a low setting and it just stripped those things...im very frustrated about the whole thing....AAHHH!!

you should have just done it by hand....you mind as well just take the next size up and hammer it in there because the bolts are already ****ed
