Since I'm thinking about doing this, what should I tell the shop? Just "hey i got this, put it on, it needs custom brackets"?Originally Posted by xiaogary
don't say that, that will cost you lots of money...
i would find a fabrication/welding shop. and show them pictures off this site, and where you want the part.. and let them tell you how much.
or get flexane and fill the stock mounts. Less than $20 total and it will work better.

Did you make the brackets or did a shop?Originally Posted by xiaogary
At my friend's shop where he is working. I pay the boss the manhour labour though for using my fren (his worker) and his equipment.
How much would it be to duplicate the brackets and send them to me?Originally Posted by xiaogary
just buy this:

looks close enough, and you could ream out the holes or do a little grinding for clearance if it is off a little..
or compare our mount bolt distance to a friend with a cobalt? ( i have a POS cobalt sitting here, but i dont have an aveo to measure right now)
