If you go to beginning of the thread. It's my fault that bolt was not torqued down correctly.

Update, since I got all the parts removed and examining the valve guides, I took it to a local shop for further work and a better cleaning. I am hesitant to replace the guides as I don't have the right tools. Frank the engine head guy has some reservations. According to him, he also hesitant as he may not have the right bits to ream a new center on replacement. So he has my valve guides and new valves.

If it's any help, much of the motorcycle head tooling works great for Aveo heads! If you have access to any. The valves are pretty tiny, as are the guides. My local shop has a Serdi machine with the smaller cutters.

I am going to wait until Frank responds and I am thinking that he maybe too old school (big block V8s) and not setup for modern cars. So you just gave me some excellent advice. I may have to go to a motorcycle shop.

ok, I ran into a problem the local machine shop does not have reamers to take care of my valve guides if he replaces them. Not sure what's his f'ng problem (grrrr). He spent two weeks dicking around with my head. Can you tell I am a bit annoyed?

So it looks like it's up to me. Going to order a reamer and the valve guide tool. I have a floor shop drill press that will give specific speeds. Customary wisdom says I need to
      1) replace guides
      2) ream guides for good fit
      3) cut new seats as the center has changed
      4) lap valves

I have a couple of questions, since I don't have access to a machine shop, I need to do as much by hand.

      1) Has anybody ordered the reamer and valve cutter?
      2) If so, what's the cheapest?
      3) I have been reading on various reamers and what kind for our valve guides?I think they are just harden steal.

So I did some more reading into the specs and found this
Name: valve guid reaming 1.6 DOHC.jpg

Size: 23.0 KB
      Kent-Moore Tools
      Kent-Moore KM-805 Valve Guide Reamer 6/0.075

I found that reamer between 250 and 360 bucks. WOW! No wonder Frank was kinda beat around the bush with me if he did not have that guy.

      So what size is it?

      Here is the valve specs

So if I get a 6mm reamer and this kit would I be ok?

I got way too many parts and I am now almost the same cost as that. Thanks for the suggestion.

I also found this tool, would this work as a reamer for our valve guides?
