the everlasting question....TURBO'S
i know nothing of turbo's, in fact i dont even claim to know anything about car's. with that said, on to the noob question.
while searching craigslist for ANYTHING aveo, i came up short. but i did find alot of cheap(100$) turbo's. trouble is, they are listed in a language i dont understand. most of the turbo's i think will fit the aveo, come off of Honda's, or were built for Honda's. but whats considered to big? is it just a matter of what we can make fit under the hood? or is there a point where the turbo's spooling becomes a serious drag on the engine? also, can any PSI be run on ANY size turbo, or is there a "curve" to adhere to?
Re: the everlasting question....TURBO'S
the smaller a motors displacement, the smaller of a turbo you want to use (depending on a number of factors). when you turbo a vehicle you need a number of supporting mods based on the amount of boost you want to run. ie engine tuning, injectors, stronger rods/crank/pistons, fuel pump, etc. boosting a vehicle is a very involved process and i know there are members here who can expand on what i am saying.
edit: few websites to give a general understanding.

if it werent for terrible idea's, i'd never learn anything lol. i know 5 psi is safe to run without an engine rebuild, so thats what i was going with. i just didnt know what numbers to look for when buying all the parts.
