      Exhaust

I was wondering, what happens if i remove the cat and middle box
and replace it with straight pipe? Header+straight pipe+muffler/tip
What would be the best pipe size for 1.5L? Im trying to get a good
or loud sound from my exhaust. I just love exhaust sounds Lol

Are you keeping the stock muffler? its the most restrictive part of the factory exhaust. more restrictive than the cat and center pipe.

      You will want 2".

Hi! This topic seems directly relevant to something I am researching! Did you notice a performance gain from just the aftermarket muffler, Crazed? I am about to work on my exhaust; wondering if it would be worth the cost to go further than the muffler...

Unfortunately, i dont feel any performance gain from the muffler.
In fact, it sometimes feel kinda heavy. Maybe bad muffler or something?
If you work on something further, please tell me about the outcome aite

Its a Matola straight flow muffler. I also changed the bullet.
Now im thinking of removing the cat, change pipe and change
to a mugen twin loop muffler.

Yeah! Sounds very cool! That's what I'm wondering kinda... is how far back you have to change the pipe to get a decent boost in power... I'll be around to check and see how your project's going!

Just changing to a real muffler out back (or eliminating it) does improve the car. Its not going to feel like more hp all that much (we only have @100 hp) but for my car, the cai and muffler combination definitely improved the amount of time to climb RPMs.. = faster.

I dont know about matola. But the twin loop is a gimmick i think.. spend the same amount or less on a muffler for hp not looks.
