Its the same as the other strut bars as far as i know.
Well most strut bars that i have seen you install the braces on the strut towers, then you have a long bar in the middle which you crank down to do the fullest extent, and it thereby makes the chassis the tightest fit for your application. This just looks like a single assembly to me so I was curious...

what you're referring to is VERY common misconception. several manufacturers claim this but it's just to cover their ass for cutting corners. the adjustment isn't so you can "preload" the brace it's so the manufactures can mass produce one bar for every car and the only thing that needs to be model specific is the mounting plates.

another thought that some people have is that they can use the adjustment to tweak their camber and... well... that is just wrong.

the bar from Fabricator X is VERY nice, the only short comings is that it should come with the bushings already pressed in.

i was going to start producing strut bars for the Aveo when i found Fabricator X's piece and there is VERY little that could be done to improve it.

so what does someone do when they buy the bar and take it out to their car and go to install it, only to find that it doesn't fit because they have had their chassis flex?

The point of a strut brace it to keep it from flexing MORE and to make it more RIGID... not take it back to how it was stock...

The strut brace actually works wonders...I have almost ZERO complaints.

My only issue was how the mounting points from the bar to the brackets sits a little too far outward, leaving it difficult to get the crossbar in and out if you ever wanted to work on the engine. Move those mount points slightly inward and its the best brace I have ever seen (and I spent the last 4 years in Product Management at various Automovie Aftermarket companies, so I've seen ALOT.)

X, you pose a good question and the answer is this... make an insurence claim and/or if you are still under warrenty take it back to the dealership. the only way you chassis can flexand stay in the possition that it's in is if the car was in a collision, truly the only way.

think about it this way... the factory uses a series of holes and registration marks when manufacturing the car. those same holes and registration marks are used year and years and years... bown the road to straighten the chassis if it gets into a collision. point is that if the chassis flexed that much and stayed where it flexis to then those points courdent be used, they would always be out of whack.

the chassis doesn't settle and distort over its lifetime, the point of a strut brace os to help keep the car flat through turns, distribute lateral G's across the chassis and keep the suspension planted through turns. even though the chassis does flex in turns with out a brace it always goes back to it's original shape.

the over all length is the determining factor and a straight brace wont work unless it is mounted outwards like the one that FAB X builds cause theres a bunch of **** in the way FYI cavalier is too long and civics are too short

TSX doesn't have any TYPE S or any other type of badging... The TL Has a Type S but not the TSX...
