and actually my stock mani wouldn't work, due to the pre-cat being attached before the flange. stupid catalytic converters...
If you're cutting things, why not just chop it off?
My plan on the manifold is either get a stainless blank cut from gasket and weld to a eBay manifold or take stock and adapt to fit my k03
Sorry officer... with all of your stickers and strobes I thought you wanted to race
Daox, IIRC the way the pipes merge into the precat is... less than stellar for cutting
Hondahunter, I think you missed my earlier question, is our aveo auto or manual?
It is an auto for now after I do the turbo it will be time to track down the 6sp manual out of a sonic

I was gonna say, if you are manual you are gonna have problems, namely the clutch
Heres a couple of pics I snagged of the stock mani for anyone curious
I've been giving serious thought to making my own manifold but I'm leaning towards modifying the stock one

Just throwing out an idea. Since dgoody modified a B16 header for an N/A motor, why not get a stainless B16 turbo manifold n n modify the flange. Just a lil additional info I found a cast manifold on a site called SPATURBO- problem is I can make out enogh words but I beleive it is portugese( or brazilian )
I'm more than likely going with a stainless manifold from either a b16 or a focus either way I'm gonna have to flange both ends since a k03 manifold that is not for an Audi or vw is difficult to find so I will find one with external wastegate and add o2 bung with the flanges Yaay I get to weld lol
