Whats the torque specification on this engine? crank and connecting rods bolts and the head also. Does anyone know?

      thanks todd

      Thanks daniel for info.

If I order parts for 07 model, its like order for 08 right. Because they dont have engine or engine components up on the gmpartsdirect website yet for 08. They didnt do any internal changes to the engine have they? same engine from 04 to 08?

Ouch, that is harsh. I hope you kept your original intake, because I think after all that, I would put it back on.

      thanks mike

I just wanna make sure. gmpartsdirect.com cant tell me if it will work. 07 is the only one that has "load" short block. They said my 08 doesnt have one for it. But they have "load" long block, but to much money and I dont need complete new one. My cylinders have some pitted spots. So i figure get the short block with rebuild gasket set and start putting her back together. Just need someone to comfirm that it is.

      Thanks Todd

      Re: flooded engine!

I can get my block cleaned up. I called a machine shop that does that stuff and there gonna check my crankshaft also. Make sure its not bent. Im gonna order new rods, pistons, front and rear seals, and overhaul gasket set. I was thinking that my gaskets look good yet. Dont know if it would be smart to reuse my head gasket. Hmmmm.

      What you guys think?
