are you trying to say i dont do my research
i have worked in a muffler shop for years and have been welding longer then you know, i can spit part numbers out my ass and i can give you recomendations that dont come direct from flosmasters site.

if you want a exhaust that is deep, loud and raspy then get a 40 series flowmaster, im not a huge fan of the 60 series. but they are much quiter. oh also the 40 series pops a lot when you down shift and come to a stop.

anyways if you have any q's Aussie BarinaTK i would be more then happy to give you my opinion.
and g0ast do some research on who you are talking about

I'm just saying the 40 series wasn't made for small displacement motors like the Aveo. The 60 series is specifically made for it. (For those who don't know): It's more difficult for a small displacement/4 cylinder to get a deeper, more robust sound because of the amount of time it takes between each piston to make a combustion.

In other words, a 4 cylinder engine has a small period of time where none of the pistons make a combustion, so the engine produces no noise, that's the reason why cars that have the cheap-o exhaust system sound like rattling fart cans because the sound of combustion between the "breaks" gets amplified while traveling through the exhaust pipes.

My point is the 60 series counters that by reflecting the sound waves around the muffler through bends, sound traps, and high tone cancellation, so by the time the exhaust sound leaves the muffler, it's a constant tone (that tone by the way is the "deep" rumbling sound you hear).

A V6 has a less amount of time between combustion, a V8 has even less, V12 even less, making it that much easier for the muffler to make a deeper tone.

(That's what I understand from the muffler shop I went to, plz correct me if I'm wrong somehow)

PS Sorry shap didn't mean to offend you

you are correct , that is why i tell my customers that want there 4 banger to sound like a v8 "it will never happen". on the flip side of things mufflers are muffler and can be put on any car with any displacement. hell i have even put a flowmaster 2 chamber race muffler on a go kart . it is all what tone your going for, but a 4 cylinder will only sound like a 4 cylinder. a great choice is a super 40 series, there much quiter then the orginal 40 series.sorry if i came off harsh, it just seemed like you were belittling me.

Do you WANT your exhaust to sound raspy? I sure don't...

You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

That's why you get a turbo with a blow off valve... Then instead of rasp-pop you get blow-by... mmmm... lol
