Holden TM Barina Vibration

Hi, i am hoping someone here has had this issue and can help me i am in Australia with a 5 speed manual 2012 Holden TM Barina which i believe is the same as your Aveo second Generation is this correct? I'm posting here as i have a issue with a vibration at idle and we do not have a forum for the Barina. If i run the car with no air conditioner it is fine as soon as i put the aircon on it brings the revs up to about 790prm and i get a full car body vibration, if i turn the air conditioner off the revs stay at the 790rpm with the vibration unless i turn the car off and start it again. in neutral with a bit of gas it seems the vibration is between 750rpm to about 1800rpm then it seems to smooth out a little bit. i have changed the spark plugs and had someone watch the engine while in neutral giving it a rev to see if the engine moves as i thought maybe engine mounts. has anybody had anything like this before? Your 2012 Barina would be the same as a USA spec 2012 Sonic. Unfortunately, a whole different animal.

Thanks for the reply, i thought that also so i joined the sonic forum but it seems that our 2012 barina is based on the last of the Aveo with the 1.6L ecotec engine

I just looked as well. It may be similar to our 2011 as far as the engine goes. Search the archives for throttle body issues. It may be a place to start.

Bruce, I had a 2011 TK for 8 years in Perth and found the fuel quality was important, I used Shell 95 PULP for most of that time.
I traded it on a Suzuki last year and use Shell 98 in the new car.
