      Honda Transmission in 05 Aveo

      Is it true there is a Honda transmission in the 05 Aveo Napa Auto parts said there is any one out there knoe the truth

      It is from Japan, but it is not honda.

      its called an aisin 81-40 LE automatic trans they use them in toyota yaris aswell they are made in japan by 1 of the biggest trans manufacturer in the world.not sure of manual version.chev takes this trans and programs it with there specs,so it may not act excactly like toyotas programming.

      Yup Aisin supplies Toyota, GM, Honda and many more. It is partly owned by Toyota.
      I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

      It is a Toyota automatic transmission.
      The manual is a General Motors design.
