It has worked on all of my other vehicles where I wanted more power, better economy... does anybody make a spacer, or chip for the 2004 Aveo?

Any chip you find for these cars is a scam. not sure on the throttle body spacer though.
- 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 - LQ1 3.4L DOHC 24 valve semi-hemi V6, 210 HP, 215 ft-lbs of torque, 4T60e 4 speed automatic with O/D.... 123,000+ miles. Slowly resto-modding it.

Yeah, I figured a chip would be optimistic. My Silverado uses the Hypertech Power Programmer. Still hoping for a TBS though. I did the mods on the Silverado sequentially, and the TBS netted me about 1mpg, so that should be higher on the Aveo. Not a bad return for 100, and 30 minutes.
Even in the W-body community, don't trust chips. There's a huge performance aftermarket for the W-body (enough to push a pushrod 3.8L FWD automatic V6 to 8.5 seconds down the 1/4 mile) and no one makes a chip for the cars. It's either an entire custom computer (some companies offer pre-tuned ones) or nothing. I'm just using that as an example as the W-body aftermarket eclipses the Aveo's.

We've actually been discussing a possible ecu flash on aveonetwork. Research is limited because we dont have the models and engines to directly check compatibility. But the tuners are stateside, if you wanted to try it (you would be the first).
As for the spacer, you would need to make a pattern and have it laser cut. but you would want to check the math to know what distance would be most effective. It might not be as effective on a little 1.6 4 cylinder as it is on other cars.
I know I saw an auto parts store that sells computers for the aveo, It stated they needed to be programmed to the specific type of vehicle. Someone might be able to talk to autozone and see what they use.

I will think of a better signature later.
