How to make aveosam's CAI (thread underconstruction)

I dont feel like writing a full how-to on it right now (hence the reason i didnt put it into the how-to section), but i will give you all the information...

first off here is the parts list:
      APC Intimidator Air intake
      -universal part #:151011k
      -Honda Civic/ Crx 88-91
      Spectre Performance Couplers
      -3" to 2.5" reducer
      - 4" long 3" diameter coupler

now more info on those parts:
The APC Air intake comes with filter and one single length of pipe. also there will be a cheap plastic coupler and crank case hose (trash those pieces) but there will also be some strips of metal that you will need to bend to make a bracket. The kit should be around $60. You can order all the parts from summitracing.com for the cheapest I have found. Search for the universal part number for the air intake and then search for spectre under the air and fuel delievery section. You need one of each coupler.

You are going to have to cut the pipe and flip a piece around to get it to fit right. I will try to find pictures that show where and how to do this to post up later...along with the directions i give with the kit but i have to load the pictures on to cardomain first (which takes so long with dialup)...but this should suffice for now

Sweet Sam, thank you....wow, and the pipe I picked up from my former job just happened to be a black intake tube from a 88-91 Civic... Guess I can make my CAI now, in true AveoSam form!!

      Thank you again.

Sam did you find out what to do for the 2006 to make it fit?
I remember reading a post on proboards that you were having problems fitting one on a 06.

yea its nothing major....to slide the coupler on the 04-05, you need to cut a square out of the reducer coupler....but because 06+ has the drive by wire ( electronic throttle), instead of a square, you need to cut a little slit somewhere else on the reducer coupler....something anyone could figure out

yea i had the part numbers for the couplers but they and the price were conflicting with what i got from spectre and plus there is one for each color....there is another piece, its a metal clamp and rubber ring to fasten the mount to the pipe...or you can just the extra metal clamp from the air intake

You must have a pretty good reason for being in New Brunswick. Calgary is hopping. They are even having to close down fast food places(Burger King, KFC, etc...) somedays of the week because there aren't enough people to do the jobs. Even then they have to pay the people like$10-12 an hour just to stay working in a fast food joint.

I'm actually from Ontario and the reason I'm in NB is that I study here. No problem find a good job in Moncton, it's a booming city. But the fact that I need 2 weeks off during the holidays makes my job finding pretty hard. I've decided to wait until after the holidays and then get a good job .

Oh and my Wave is a lease, so I'm still debating whether I'll keep it or not in 4 years.

I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.
