That can result in extreme engine failure. Low compression pistons keep the compression lower because there is already enough pressure inside the cylinder from the pressurized air coming in.
In N/A engines, it is better to use high compression pistons because you want to compress the a/f mixture as much as you can before the spark goes off to make more power. There also is a thing like too much compression in a N/A engine but that problem is solved with higher octane fuel and better head gaskets.
