Just ordered the AEM intake system

hhhmmmm i got full ram intake and at 5000 rpms in fifth gear i am around 110-115.

yea i definitley noticed a decrease in my aveos "pick-up & Go" when i got rid of the sri and put in the cai.

yea you lose the umph in the low end with the 3" CAI on this tiny engine, one of these day i want to try and do 2.5" pipe to see if itll give the umph back but keep the top end

after i put in the aem cai i got up to 90MPH to see how it performed and i was only at 3500rpms as opposed to my old SRI being at 5000rpms at 90mph.

sounds to me like you were in a different gear :P an intake, be it stock, short ram, cold air, ghetto fab or otherwise is not going to change your gearing, the only other thing i can think is that you have an automatic, and you didnt keep you foot to the floor (there is a kickdown switch to keep it in a lower gear at full throttle to accelerate as fast as it can) so it upshifted, hence 3500rpm vs. 5000rpm

ah clarification, i was confused as to what thenixonyouth was talkin about. ok wow, now i have that noob feelin comin back *shakes it off* naw it was just a fart. i have been tempted to try a cai but i dont think i would see anything different than what i have now.

i made the 3" intake from GSR kit and i liked it because i could **** up some other ****ty cars on the e-way lol. but its a killer from a dig.
