Yeah too late K&N I signed up for there product updates and got an email stating they make a filter now to put in our stock intakes.....whoo hoo I stick to my SRI till a true CAI is produced for our cars.

Well Im also nervous about sucking up water too, cause I lowered my car. Im sure in our cars there is not that big of a diff between a decent SRI and a CAI.

its rained pretty heavily the last few days in jersey and my cai is doing fine only problem was the filter oil cleaner that i sprayed on the filter made its way up the intake pipe finally so i was getting white smoke out of the exhausted so now i have to take it apart and clean it

If your looking for performance you aree wasting yopur money with a K&N that fits in the stock box. becuase the stock air box is super restrictive

generally you're supposed to clean and oil the filter when it's not in the car...

Agreed... which is why I enlarged the opening from 2" to 2.5" Now it looks stock, but there is a little extra kick.

Do they have a SRI for the Aveo? I would like to get rid of the stock airbox and maybe pick up a few HP. Also, would I have to purchase it online or can I get it at my local Checker auto or Autozone?
