      Re: K&N Air Filter

the power difference is noticable on the butt dyno...

does fine in rain with the cover in place. only had the cover off 2 days now.. and a fog is going in asap.

the basic shape of the fogs lights works. but the mounting arms are different and one hits the rebar so its a no go unless i cut off the arms and make my own (which isn't out of the question yet) but i listed them here for what i paid. and then might buy hatch ones if they sell, if they dont i will pull everything apart and mount them.

its fun tearing into this car. i have four other fitment projects left (probably not going to get to): rear discs and 11.3 inch front brake upgrade, real coil overs, shave the bow ties, and chassis bars (underneath and F & R strut towers).

So far i have done CAI, rear sway bar, rear shock upgrade, CD install, Darkened the headlights, debadged, 1/2 the foglight upgrade.

ACTIVE THREAD REPLY: 06 AVEO had a CAI on ebay for @ $60 shipped.

1/2 a fog light upgrade. I think I'm just going to order some custom projector fogs that I can modify into that opening. Idk. we'll see.

      Re: K&N Air Filter

i think building one may be over my head, and i really don't want to void my warranty either. i'll wait for a bolt-on CAI.

so 2.5 will probably be best for exhaust pipe? I just want it rediculously loud. I'm not looking for great power increases, i just want to annoy people and maybe get better mileage...

if anyone hears of someone who manufactures bolt-on CAI for the 09 1.6 let me know... thats what i'd like to find.

...oh and do ALL aveos have the same size stock air filter?

Technically, if a CAI will void your warranty, so will a drop in filter.

No idea on the filter though, i dont think anyone here has an 09 and another year to compare.

33-2320 is the part number i found for a k&n filter that it seems most aveos if not all apply to.

Ok, Idk if I'll use these but they fit. I think I could mount them and them make a round cover with the center cut out for the projector to cover the gap around the light. Paint it flat black and she'd be good.

No, they just popped off. Then they popped back on. I checked a couple of weeks ago and put it back on and it hasn't fallen off or anything. Haha, I didn't see any screws.
