4 cylinder. wondering if I should just buy 2?

That was for 09 model aveos, the angle is different on etech engines (and there is a intake for them already)

Thanks I knew I saw it somewhere! ya I have the 09 aveo now. I will get 2 differnt accord intakes from the same place and hopefully save on shipping

After all of my debate of going cheap, I decided to get AEM:

ram air on an aveo is great! until you hit that one mud puddle and inhale water!... k@n filter for stock intake set up is the safest way to go if you have a Gm warranty over your aveo.. just my opinion nothing else.

dhomovich95, if you look at rabbit's post, you could get an AEM air bypass valve and that will solve your problem. You could also cover the cone filter with a hydro-wrap (or whatever else they call it from Injen and other manufacturers).

After all of my debate of going cheap, I decided to get AEM:

The only problem that I see with going with AEM is that in order to install AEM air bypass valve you have to cut into that beautiful pipe that you already spent $200 bucks on to install their $50 bypass valve... And with a "cheap" chromeintakes kit that's readily available for 04-08 engines all you have to do it replace the coupling with the valve, as also stated by rabbit.

I'd think that in Florida it's very likely, Hunter. Hydro-locking doesn't happen just from driving in rain, it happens when you run into that unexpected puddle... Installing that bypass filter is kind of like having insurance on the car. It doesn't seem like it's worth it until you end up using it, then you think it's worth every penny of it.
