I have a 2007 aveo sedan and want to run an aftermarket exhaust. Should i increase the size of the exhaust or just stick a different muffler on it? Anybody have any suggestions? What is working for you guys?

I have a sports exhaust from the cat back. Sounds good to me
Any specific brand? Was it custom designed or store bought and installed? Im looking for something i can put on myself on a weekend. If it was store bought where do i look and about how much did you spend?
Well, I got mine done at a place called D'n'T Performance here in Adelaide, South Australia. It was mild steel and cost me $490.
We've got heaps of performance places here, so over the states, can't see why you guys wouldn't have tons more
there is a place near me that quoted full stainless 2 1/4" from header back for $350. But they use crinkle benders..
If I wanted more than the end muffler it would be additional. I just cant go to crinkle bends. I would rather do it myself.
Is there a specific muffler people like better than others?
real performance? is usually borla, magnaflow, flowmaster, dynomax.. relative to price, taste, etc.
anything that resembles a coffee can, or has a exit larger in diameter than the inlet, is not really "performance"
Borla sounds nice but they are spendy aren't they?
i did my own exhaust work and put in a 2"line with a thrush muffler, nice sound to it plus i see a differnce in the power
it costed me approx. $100
