there wont be a plug and play turbo engine, they use different sensor locations as far as i can imagine, but i believe a sunbird gt? from the early 90s has a compatible block.. this is where you should just start to research daewootech.

most of the gm family 1 / daewoo engines will work within the era. The daewoo 1.8 and 2.0 is a bolt on, if you include all the accessories (turn key purchase, you just keep the engine harness (to the plug on the fender well. And then plug in the computer as well). Its rated ate like 140-150 hp i believe somewhere in there.

The 2.2 can work as well but i believe it is slightly more involved.

you will have to change axles no matter what if you want a manual trans, and i would recommend taking a transthat matches the engine as well.

you have a few more options though in the vauxhall cars, i am not sure about the interchangeability as we dont have them, but the ecotec 1.6 is a vauxhall design, the wiring layout is similar etc. So you should be able to match that up to your car as well..
