Any idea what type of fluid GM has stock in the manuals?
The manual mentions 1.9 quarts but not the type!

most GM's use synchromesh? but this is a daewoo...
any synthetic 75w90 should be good.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.
Isn't 75W90 a little thick for a tranny? Fords just use mercon V in all they're manual trannies.
any manual tranny i have put in a car has either used syncromesh, an ATF or some kind of synthetic performance gear oil..
the choice is usually specified by what the manufacturer recommends in the first place though
but putting GM syncromesh in a vw tranny seems to be pretty common.
Amsoil's website recommends 75W-90 syn. I haven't put anything that thick into a manual in years!
A variety of searching hasn't revealed much..

Well when I was at the dealership having my leaking gearbox gland seal replaced under the warranty I was told that my tranny had synthetic 75w90 as stock.
