      Measuring the Engine Oil Level

      Dear Colleagues:
When I measure the engine oil level at the morning before I start the car, I find it near little bet toward MIN, but When I measure it during the day after 10 minutes after I stopped the engine, I find it near the MAX.
What is the accurate way to measure the engine oil?
      thanks.

When you check it both times are you on completely flat ground?
What kind of oil do you use?
I know oil expands when hot, but I don't think the Aveo gets hot enough or holds enough oil to make that big of a difference.

If your issue was the opposite i would tell you the oil filter is draining down over night..

How much movement on the dipstick are we talking? 1/8" @ 7mm? or like 10-13mm?
