mine gets to 190F on a normal day
Just received my metal thermostat in the mail today! I will probably install it this weekend. \/

Auto Zone now makes a replacement thermostat housing thats NOT made of plastic. Its called a "Compressor Works" / "Water Outlet" and bolts in perfectly. $36.
