Re: Modified Stock Intake (with pictures 9/4)

this project isn't dead... just been pushed on the back burner, but now Im on break from school so I have time. Now its a mad dash to have it done by Jan 17th when I start school again.

update: I am currently working on getting the area for the 3" inlet pipe into the bottom half cut out and uses some special glue to bond a piece of 3" aluminum pipe to fit the area and seal the box with the fender well. I need to get that done to line up the top half outlet and 2.5" stainless intake pipe. Then once I get that done, I am going to tap the intake pipe for the sensor and try to get a bung welded that can use the stock nipple for the other hose.

I got the last two missing pieces today from summit...which I give props to because they are always fast. I ordered my drop k&n and two 2.5" silicone couplers sunday night and they got here this morning, standard ground delivery. I will update pics when its finished

Well a couple months later and I finally have the intake completed. I will take pictures and post them later today. There are still some finishing touches left but it is functional. Nothing was gained except movement of where the power is delivered. It's now located low to midrange, which is really what I wanted because thats where I spend all my time driving now.

Hey sam, where'd you get your strut-tower brace? Intersted in finding one for an 09.
