curious, will that hit the firewall? how did they come up with the design? what is their projected improvement?

Interesting, but that manifold is going to kill your low rpm power, and it might not even improve the high rpm power by much. The stock dual runner manifold is a pretty nice piece I wouldn't suggest replacing unless you're doing a full engine rebuild and massivly changing things (cams, compression ratio, etc).

Eh, its still a band aid for a part that is tuned to too high an rpm range.

I may be a little naive, but why not just have someone make a metal intake manifold since the stock runners are plenty good enough? that mainly what stops tuners from boosting their aveo. Why not make a direct replacement metal/cast/alum. etc.. manifold that has the same dimensions as the stock plastic one? I know easier said than done, but if a machinist can make a totally new intake manifold, why not split open the stock one, and get measurements and whatever else is needed and make a new one? and yes I know theres the lanos as well, but you also need the head. It doesnt matter to me I wont make those mods on my car, just wondering. Im still curious to see what comes of it.

there are lots of cars the run boost with plastic intake manifolds, i dont see that as an issue.

Jayman, what are you having this manifold built for?

well its not being built for anything specific but i do plan on getting cams later on, i already have a CAI and a 4-1 header and i wanted to do something that nobody else has done. (plus it will be really shiny!)
