Yeah, but those companies probably put a little R&D into the products they sell.
Custom ones have to be tested by US on our own buck.
I'm still not sure if my exhaust(custom of course), Magnecor wires and K&N filter are all working nicely together.

well what i did is 1. go to the swap meet, 2. buy a intake tubing (the car it was made for is unknown to me) with the filter ($25 what a steal!) 3. use a hack saw to cut some of it and reverse that piece so it faces the other way 4. buy a coupler from autozone ($6) and viola a custom CAI
well when i say custom piping, i guess i mean i had a shop bend some piping for me, i was going to change it to full piping but i havent made a final decision yet
Would be alot cooler and look better if you would have replaced the hole thing rather then only do half the job! I used a Honda Civic ram air that i got from the auto parts store.Originally Posted by khan4rtist
GSR intake FTW!
does the air sensor fit correctly on the civic tube? if it dies then im gonna go buy it.Originally Posted by gabe681
All i had to do was mill the hole out a little so that the sensor would fit with a rubber groment.
look at the picture...he's using the old intake tube that already has the sensor in itOriginally Posted by khan4rtist
granted it doesn't look as nice (excluding the sensor) I went with this option. I had the GSR CAI and it was a PITA. SO I just cut it short and went from the elbow down. It works the same. I also shortened the tube in the well so that the filter doesn't sit so low, yay sawl-saw!
whats the diameter on the pipe vs the diameter on the stock intake tubing?
