Need help!!!

i bought a cone air filter, i dont know how to install it. what i thought is to take the top of the air filter box off and just let the cone filter sit there in the bottom of the filter box, would this work? what do i have to do? i only bought the cone filter, no other tubes or anything. please help :confused:

if you take the top off you need to make sure it seals on the intake tube if not, best and cheapes way is this:

insted of using the second piece of the tubing, it would put the filter about where the box is, but you would just take it out anyways, and its colder air down where they have it, its cheap and i haven't heard anything bad about these.
hope this helps, all the cone filter is going to do is make it reusable, its not going to help with mpg or anything else, how they have the sir system set up, they are practically a cold air system. all it is is for looks if you do it.
