Could you guys do me one more and confirm that these parts are the correct ones for my application? (Sorry I'm a little confused by the website). It looks like I'm ordering gatorback serpentine belt(that's what I want), gates timing belt, idler, tensioner, and water pump. Will the kit come with a new water pump gasket? If not I can order one from autozone for $3.00. I can also pick up coolant at autozone. All for the 2004 aveo. Hoping the parts get here this weekend so I can do this work this weekend...

Thanks, this forum is VERY helpful and full of info!

That's the kit we bought for our 2004 HB. Have had good service and pricing out of Rock Auto for ages. They almost always have a "5%" off deal going - check the coupon sites like www.retailmenot.com/view/rockauto.com for current codes. They're applied in the "How did you hear about us?" box on the CHECKOUT page (don't know if they also work if pasted into the similar box on the shopping cart page).

Thanks, I ordered the gates 4 piece kit and the gatorback serpentine belt. If it all gets here this week I'll probably spend saturday doing the timing belt, trans fluid change, coolant change, and if I have enough time replacing the old brake fluid and PS fluid.

So is the stock timing belt just a cheap part? Or will the aftermarket belt still need replacing every 60k miles?

      Appreciate all the help.

the aftermarket is going to be built to oem, oem recommends replacement every 60k.
