Wow.....sure wish you had recommended the correct set originally. Could have saved the 42 bucks I threw done a rat hole.

Sorry man, it had been awhile since I went and got the wires and I forgot what I asked for, I was surprised myself when I finally found the box today and saw they were for another year. I had been thinking of going back to Mazda for another replacement set and I would have asked for the wrong ones myself

Don't know if the right ones are 7mm but the ones I bought are 8mm.

BTW: I wrote an email to NGK asking why they didn't make a set for the Aveo, and asked if the 2002 Daewoo Lanos set would fit the Aveo. Seems like they should...so many other parts are identical.
Will post here if and when I do hear back.

y2daniel1981: Yeah, I can understand how that can happen. Nonetheless, obviously important to confirm accuracy before making specific recommendations.

      Moving along.......

I agree that I should have tried to find the box and got the PN before you even started to look for the wires. But I was convinced that I knew the right ones to go look for. But I guess water under the bridge now

Ok, this time I checked the box before answering... It doesn't say so I don't know.

Also checked the wires themselves and I didnt see any #mm on them

Okay, I got a reply from NGK regarding whether or not the 2002 Lanos ignition wire set would work with the Aveo:

      "Hello,

I have received word that the KXR004 stock no. 56038 will work for the
Chevrolet Aveo 2004-2007 model years. Thank you.

There you have it. Need OEM wires? Pick up a box of Daewoo Lanos wires.
