Oil for automatic tranny? Fluide G3 or Fluid IIIG?

      Hi all,

I'm planning to change the oil in my 2011 4 speed auto.

Manual says JWS 3309 or Total Fluid IIIG. I can't get hold of Mobil 3309 here.

But I've seen Total Fluide G3 for sale. Looking at the spec sheets of Fluide G3 and Fluid IIIG they look almost identical. Very small difference in specs.

Is the G3 just a later version of IIIG?
Am I ok to go with the Fluide 3G?

      Thanks

Another choice came up: Motul Multi ATF.
Motul has JWS 3309 listed on the spec sheet but this atf appears to have such a broad spectrum of compatible oils makes me think twice about it.

Thanks guys. I have a friend who works for mobil and is trying to get hold of 3309. If he can't then may go for the Total G3.

May just bite the bullet and buy a crate of Mobil 3309 to be on the safe side. 12 bottles at 20 bucks each. Keep 6 and sell the rest. Nothing else here that is the same as T-IV.

Issue here is that it's not a gm tranny. Japanese aisin with T-IV.

Found a local dealer who sells Toyota T-IV. Lot of debates about whether this fulfills jws3309 requirements or not. Is it really just 3309 under Toyota label? Made by ExxonMobil.

The manual 2011 aveo in English specifies T-IV but my manual in Spanish (same 4 speed tranny) 2011 specifies 3309. Maybe just altered for the South American market? I can't find any information about having different trannies.
