      Oil temperature probe

I'm trying to get an oil temperature gauge rigged up, and it's all done except for the placement of the probe. I've completely ruled out drilling into the oil pan, and the oil level sensor has already been used for a pressure gauge. My two options are thus. I could acquire a cross to replace the tee I put on the level sensor, or I could drill through an oil drain plug and thread the probe through there. Has anyone done this before? Having the probe in the drain plug will make oil changes a pain in the ass, and the probe is pretty vulnerable down there. But then, I'm not sure I have room for the cross up top. Has anyone done this before? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

That's a neat little gadget! Do you have this thing under your hood? Before I buy it, I want to know for sure that it fits, and that the probe on the Sunpro gauge will fit into one of the four ports.

Alright, one more question. I use the Fram PH3387A oil filter, and that's 18mm by 1.5mm. The adapter you linked me to is 20mm by 1.5mm. Shouldn't I go with the former?

thats because i think some of the daewoos use taller filters than our aveo, u shouldnt have any prob as long as the diameter is the same on the part that screws on where the filter goes. which it is, 1.5 mm. someone plz correct me if im wrong as i dont want to steer anyone in the wrong direction.

I talked to the tech support folks at Glow Shift, and I ended up ordering the 18mm by 1.5 adapter. Next time I change the oil, I'll see if it all goes together!
